Just got the text parts of AVT1.5 (rules, ships, setting), and
1. need the registration

2. The print looks a bit odd. My first thought was "was this printer cartridge running dry?"; my second thought was it looks like what I get when I print a blue-font document using black ink. It's not quite as crisp as I would have expected, although it's certainly readable. I don't need a replacement; I'm only advising you in case someone at Ad Astra turns out to be obsessive compulsive.

The "dark boxes" are, in fact, blue.

One of these days, I may sic Ethan on juggling the layout of the AV:T book. Basically, I need to get enough pre-order commitments for a "new layout revised book" to pay him for the time spent on it; figure replacement books would sell for $15 each, figure Ethan's worth about $400 to do the work - that means we need 27 copies pre-sold.

The real incentive to do this would be with the updated images from the Deluxe SCCs.

I'm referring to the normal text, not the boxes.

If I were doing the formatting--which I'm not, and I'm not volunteering either--I'd change the Vast Blocks of Italics (eg Setting Book page 34) to normal and change the headers from normal to bold. Easier on the eyes, at least for us aging geezers who really ought to admit that 60 watt bulbs are no longer sufficient.

Sign me up; I need to update my copy from v1.0 at some point anyway.
