Back in July/August I purchased (and received) SITS plus SB2. I tried to register the game and the shipbook, but I couldn't log in. I ignored the issue due to both learning the game and some school isuess. However when I tried again yesterday I again couldn't log in both times I roughly followed the script below:

When I tried to log in into services.adastragames.com using both my forum account and my webshop account, I got the "Username and/or password not valid" message.
After noticing the "create new account" option I created a new one. However now I got the "email address already in use" message (or something to that effect). Using a different address than the one I use for the forum or the webshop gets me no message at all. Nothing in my inbox and no confirmation message on the page itself. Did the account get created?

Figuring I must've done something wrong I tried the "retrieve password" option. The message I got here was "account does not exist".

Did I screw up or did something else go wrong?

If it helps, I ordered the game on July 28th and got it in the mail about two or three weeks later.

I really hate to point this out, but you do need three user/passwords.

1 for the forums
1 for the Genre
1 for the services area

Yeah, that's what I figured, but for some reason I keep getting the "email already in use" when trying to create a new account. This leaves me to believe I may have created an account in error. For some reason the account name completely escapes me.

That leads me to my actual question (which upon re-reading my original post perhaps wasn't entirely clear): What would be the account details?

The email address in question is maartenschoonderwoerd-at-gmail-dot-com. Yesterday I tried to register with maartenschoonderwoerd-at-yahoo-dot-com, but I can't login with that one as well. Is there a confirmation email? Perhaps it got lost between the spam.

Well if you go to http://services.adastragames.com/login.php and take the "Retreve Password" option, just fill in the UserID and the email address and it should send you your password or tell you that the UserID is wrong.

Which is exactly my problem. When trying to log in or retrieve my password it tells me that my UserID does not exist, so it sends nothing to my email address.
When trying to register a new account it tells me my email address is already in use, so I don't get a UserID.

I have two hypotheses as to why this happens. Either someone else is using my email address, which is strange because then I should be getting his email, or somewhere in the past I created an account by accident and promptly forgot about the username and password. IMO the latter is far more likely.

What City or Country are you in, Maarten? I can search by address parameters, but not email addresses.

I'm in Gouda, The Netherlands. The capital of Dutch cheese.

Edit: if you need to send anything, you can use the gmail address I gave above.

Is this what you think you entered when you set up your account?

Can't exactly remember what I entered way back in July, but if I was asked for a city and a country that is what I would use.

But it works now!
As said in the reply to your PM, thanks for all the help!

Now the only thing I need to do is register my game and book so I can finally stop worrying at night. ;)
