Well, in fairness, his playpen is bigger -- there's more ocean than there is land. And then the light blue and the dark blue get into volume comparisons....

Light blue is a whole lot more challenging than dark blue, but dark blue is MUCH bigger - both in area and in volume.

Most of your threats since the recent demise of the USSR are light blue, though China may eventually try to change that. (Yes, there is some historical basis for the prevalence of the dastardly XCCN)*

*Of course they're dastardly - so says the Olympian Advocate. ;-)

Cl: Never forget that the PLA's OPFOR is called the "Blue Army"!

Heh. I'd been assuming light blue meant Air Force, not littoral ops. All a matter of perspectives. :)

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail...

Some of us Navy guys forget that the USAF even exists. I guess since the USN does aviation, has mobile airbases not subject to political whim, has ballistic missiles that *aren't* a stationary target, does space, satellites, and has as many astronauts as USAF does, it's sometimes hard to remember there *is* an air force. ;-)

Heck, everybody does air - even the Army of One and the Coasties....

and remember, America's first man in space was a Navy Commander.

"Death from Below" - because anybody can fall out of a plane, but it takes real ability to rise from the deep.

Cl: I second all of the above. NEVER forget that XCCN traditions are based on the PLA-Navy's submarine branch... Read all about it in Ship Book 2.

An never fear, the USAF does have its analogue in the TW. You'll love it.
